Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: January 2026
Thanks for being here. These are the terms that govern your use of our site and anything you buy from us. We've tried to write them in plain language, but some legal bits need to stay formal—bear with us.
By using this site, you're agreeing to these terms. If something doesn't sit right, reach out—we're happy to talk.
Use the site however you like, as long as it's legal and doesn't mess with anyone else's experience. Keep your details accurate and up-to-date if you're creating an account or making a purchase.
You agree not to:
Pretty straightforward—just be respectful.
You need to be at least 16 to use the site and buy from us. If you're younger than that, make sure you have permission from a parent or guardian before placing an order.
We do our best to keep product descriptions and pricing accurate, but we're human—mistakes happen. All products are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to pull or adjust product offerings if needed.
Product Images:
We photograph our products as accurately as possible, but colours and details may vary slightly from what you see on your screen due to display settings and lighting. If you're unsure about something, just ask before ordering.
Pricing:
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise. Prices can change without notice, but if you've already placed an order, you'll pay the price shown at checkout.
Payment:
We accept major credit cards and other secure payment methods. Your order won't be processed until payment clears in full.
When you place an order, you'll get an email confirming we've received it. That's not us accepting the order yet—acceptance happens when we ship your product.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for any reason (stock issues, pricing errors, suspicious activity, etc.). If we cancel after you've paid, we'll refund you in full.
We ship within Australia and to select international destinations. Shipping costs and delivery times vary based on location and the method you choose at checkout.
Delivery Estimates:
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. We can't control postal delays, customs hold-ups, or wild weather, so we're not liable if things take longer than expected.
International Orders:
If you're ordering from outside Australia, you're responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs fees, or charges imposed by your country. These costs are not included in our pricing and are your responsibility to pay. We have no control over these fees—they're set by your local customs authority.
We want you to love what you buy. If something's not right, here's how returns work:
Not eligible for return:
Personalised items, perishable goods, or anything marked as final sale.
Refunds:
Issued to your original payment method. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless we messed up (defect or wrong item sent).
Return Shipping:
You cover return postage unless the return is our fault.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law:
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). The ACL provides consumer guarantees that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, match their description, and meet any extra promises we make. If we fail to meet these guarantees, you have rights to a remedy. For more details, visit the ACCC website or contact us.
For more information on our returns process, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.
If you create an account on our site, you're responsible for keeping your login details secure. Don't share your password, and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or engage in suspicious activity.
By using the site and providing your email address, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including order confirmations, shipping updates, and responses to your inquiries. These are transactional emails necessary to fulfill your order—not marketing (unless you opt in separately).
If we launch a loyalty program and you sign up, you're agreeing to its terms (which may change). Points are non-transferable, have no cash value, and can't be exchanged for money. We can modify or end the program anytime.
Everything on this site—text, images, logos, designs, code—belongs to Made Quiet or our licensors. You're welcome to browse and shop, but you can't reproduce, distribute, or modify any of our content without written permission.
Think of it this way: you wouldn't want someone ripping off your work, and neither do we.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Made Quiet (and anyone working with us) isn't liable for damages arising from your use of the site. We work hard to keep things accurate and functional, but we can't guarantee perfection.
Important Exception:
Nothing in this section limits or excludes any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We're also not responsible for third-party sites linked from ours. If you click through to another site, that's on you—check their terms and policies before engaging.
If your use of the site causes legal trouble, costs, or claims against us, you agree to cover those. This includes situations where you've violated these terms or someone else's rights.
We take your privacy seriously. Check our Privacy Policy to see how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We can suspend or terminate your access to the site anytime, for any reason—especially if you're doing something dodgy or violating these terms.
If something goes wrong, we want to fix it. Here's how:
Step 1: Contact us directly at hello@madequiet.co. We'll do our best to resolve things quickly and fairly.
Step 2: If we can't sort it out, you may pursue resolution through the appropriate consumer protection body or legal channels in accordance with Australian law.
We're committed to handling disputes reasonably and in good faith.
Sometimes things happen that are completely out of our control—natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, transport disruptions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
If something like this prevents us from fulfilling our obligations (like shipping your order), we won't be held liable for delays or failure to perform. We'll do our best to keep you informed and get things back on track as soon as possible.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in NSW courts.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in full effect. We'll replace any invalid provisions with something as close to the original intent as possible.
These terms (along with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced) represent the entire agreement between you and Made Quiet regarding your use of the site.
If we don't enforce a right or provision in these terms immediately, that doesn't mean we're waiving it. We can still enforce it later.
We may update these terms occasionally to reflect changes in our business or legal requirements. When we do, we'll update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. It's worth checking back now and then.
If anything here is unclear or you've got concerns, reach out:
